This is the 4th in a triennial series of workshops that focus on experiment and theory on cooling, trapping, and applications of ultracold Group II atomic species (Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Ra, Zn, Cd, Hg) and related species such as Yb. These workshops explore experimental methods, precision measurement and spectroscopy, and atomic and molecular properties and collisions. Optical frequency atomic clocks have long been a topic at these workshops. More recent topics involve quantum degenerate gases, optical lattices, and applications to quantum information and condensed matter physics.

To be held at the University Inn and Conference Center on the campus of the University of Maryland. Cozy queen rooms are available for the nights of September 16th through September 19th at a rate of $129 plus tax per night.
